Calman House

This is an addition and alteration to an existing two story family home the hillside in Mirimar, Wellington. It has expansive views out over Wellington International Airport airport toward Lyall Bay and the surrounding hills.

We have created a simple addition at the ground floor level, removing the existing master bedroom and replacing it with a new master bedroom complete with walk through wardrobe and ensuite and a new guest bedroom. We have also incorporated a generous ground floor storage room while maintaining the existing bathroom, toilet and third bedroom.

On the top floor we have removed some existing small windows and a section of wall from the dining room to create a generous opening for new bi-folding doors that allow access to the new deck. This will create a fantastic sense of space from the dining room as well as providing easily accessible outdoor dining and living space. The glass balustrades will allow unobstructed views out form the living spaces inside.
